We had a great time on the boat with Matthew! It was a beautiful day, we saw dolphins, and he prepared some great rose and snacks. He even took care of one of our guests why didn’t feel well. 10/10 would do again!

Great trip!! The boat was having mechanical issues and we were told a couple of days in advance that it would be a different boat but it was just as beautiful if not more so. Lovely crew, lovely bartender, great experience!

A local guide to boating in Los Angeles

Trade the traffic for tide, Los Angeles is better from the water. Start your day at Marina del Rey, one of the largest small-craft harbors in the country and the center of LA’s boating scene. From there, it’s an easy cruise into Santa Monica Bay. You’ll pass iconic stretches of coastline, spot dolphins, and, on clear days, even catch a glimpse of Catalina Island offshore. For a longer day on the water, many boaters make the crossing to Catalina Island for snorkeling, coves, and a true offshore escape. With Boatsetter, you can find the right boat or go out with a licensed captain—making it easy to relax, explore, and experience Los Angeles from the water.

Sailing & Catamaran Cruises

Set sail from Marina del Rey into Santa Monica Bay, where consistent breezes and open water make it one of the best sailing spots in Southern California.

Coastal Cruising & Wildlife Spotting

Cruise past Malibu, Venice, and Santa Monica for classic LA coastline views, with frequent dolphin and sea lion sightings along the way.

Yachting & On-the-Water Celebrations
